Balloon Fiesta ended this past weekned, and we enjoyed the view from our house. Crazy people wake up at 4:30am to go down to the park and watch the mass ascension at 7:30. But our Holly is sick, so we opted to stay home. Earlier in the week one of the balloons landed the park in the back! And we had many fly-bys during the week, with lots of good chances to see the balloons up close. One was about 20 feet from our roof!
At night they tie the balloons to the ground and light them up for a "Glowdeo" so people can walk around and admire the different shapes and colors. We'll have to go next year, when the kiddos are a little bigger.
